Learning to Write!

Papa has started to coach me to write recently again! He tried it about 6 months ago. However, he stopped it after he realized that I was too young.

I did not disappoint Papa! I have demonstrated more enthusiasm and “skills” now! I am able to remember the correct sequence and strokes after a few prompts and help from Papa. Of course, I have “dotted lines” in the book to help me. I have alot to pick up, having taken only my first few sessions! :P

Outing with Popo @ Airport!

Since Papa started driving last year, Papa and Mimi found it easier to drive Popo (maternity grandma) around for meals. Last Satuday, we brought Popo to our favorite place; Airport T3. It was Popo’s first visit!

Mimi has started indulging me in simple art work recently! She feels that I am older now and should make “less mess”! Heheh! :p

Lantern Festival @Chinese Garden!

We were @Chinese Garden for an early Lantern Festival celebration with Xuan Jie and Kai Didi! Three of us were happily roaming around the Chinese Garden with our lanterns! :) However, Papa and Mimi were a bit disappointed with the “simple” decorations for the Lantern Festivals. My accountant by training Papa said “No budget” must be the likely reason because this is no entrance fee levied for this year. LOL!

Fun @Chinese Garden!

I Can Read English Books!

Papa and Mimi started reading to me since I was about 1 years old. It has become a habit now that I always insist that I read with either Papa and Mimi before I turn to sleep every night. I have a fair share of collection of both English and Chinese books. We will also borrow books from the library about once a month.

Recently, Papa and Mimi realized that I could read more independently; especially books with simple words for toddlers. I am also keen to repeat the sentence after Papa and Mimi read a book to me (especially the new books)! I will also try to point my fingers across the books as I read. Papa and Mimi point to the words whenever they read to me. They did it because of expert advice from their reading . They are happy that I enjoy reading and is picking it up well!

I Can Read 华语书Too!

I must admit that my 华语 is weaker. However, I have shown marked improvement over the months especially after Mimi and Ah Ma made a conscious effort to converse with me in Mandarin. It also helps that I have a very good and motivating Chinese teacher, “汤老师", in my school! I can speak more conversational Mandarin and enjoys singing kids Chinese songs!

My 1 year of Milk Supply!

Yeah! Look at how happy I was with my 24 tins of milk supply! It will last me about 1.5years. LOL! Though I have reduced my intake of milk consumption as I grow up, I am still a “milk glutton”. Mimi decided to take advantage of the current promotion @ NTUC Fairprice where a $20 voucher will be given for every $200 worth of Abbott products. Papa managed to squeeze the one year supply in the store room. Haha..

Yeah! I am a happy girl with my supply of milk!

We Chill-Out @Coffee Bean!

Papa told me that Mimi and him loved to drink Coffee Bean beverages during their courtship days. However, they made lesser visits after their wedding. Definitely even lesser visits after I was borned! Hehe…

Wow! Mimi and my favourite cheese cake! Papa’s favourite “Ultimatum” and Mimi’s “Sunrise”!

Mimi and Qi! I was too busy trying to catch a bit of the cake instead! LOL!

Shiok! Sunrise is nice! I do not like coffee!

Qi aka 開心果 Making Faces!

Why is Papa taking such a long time to get our dinner? I am a big girl now! I used to share my dinner with Mimi. But Papa has to order a separate set of dinner for me now!

I am really hungry and angry now!

Do not look at me!

Taking a peek!

My First Movie, “Dogs & Cats”!

Papa and Mimi brought me to my first movie after our lunch date with Aunty Caiyun on Hari Raya Puasa! Mimi had told me about it a few days back. I was really excited and kept asking Mimi: “We go movie! OK?” Hehe…

I took my height at the cinema entrance to assess it I need to get a ticket. I am slightly above the height limit of 90cm! Hmm… the ticketing staff aunty was very nice and advised us that I do not need a ticket! Yeah! LOL! :P

Let me share with you 5 funny things…

1. After 5 minutes in the cinema, we realized the movie is not a cartoon.

2. I told Papa: “Papa, I want to go home!” Papa suspected that I could have been “intimidated” by the dark cinema with the giant screen. Fortunately, for Papa and Mimi, they managed to coax and reassured me that I was “safe”. LOL!

3. I was busy eating the pop corns and taking occasional sips of the drink rather than focusing on the movie!

4. About an hour into the show, I made numerous comments such as:
“Papa, naughty dog!”
“Mimi, where is the dog going?
“Look, the dogs and cats are fighting!”
Papa and Mimi frantically tried to coax me to “shhh”. Fortunately, I got the message and “zipped”. Hehe…

5. I fell asleep 15 minutes before the movie ended!

Yeah! Waiting to enter the cinema hall with my popcorn!

Catch Up with Aunty Caiyun!

Aunty Caiyun never fails to remember birthday every year. :) We caught up with her on Hari Raya Puasa! She is one of Papa’s best friends! They knew one another since primary school days.

We went to a new concept restaurant, “F.I.S.H”. (You are right! It is operated by Fish & Co). The distinct differences are F.I.S.H serves salad buffet and meat other than fish. The main course of tomato seafood sphaghetti and Mediterran Fish that Papa and Mimi ordered were awesome! Not forgetting the salmon salad, nacho with tomato sauce, chicken and potato salad… yummy!

I was contented with my hot soup, nacho and of course my favourite corn!

Checking up my present from Aunty Caiyun!

Wow! It is sesame street sticker book, Marine life knowledge book & Pooh colouring series!

Giving a thank you kiss for Aunty Caiyun!

Look at how happy I was!

I got an unexpected balloon sculpture of a little doggie! It was from the resutaurant uncle supervisor whom I had waved and said “hello” (when I went to the washroom). LOL!

Gathering with Mimi’s Buddies@ Our house!

Mimi had a gathering with her buddies early this week@ our house! I was so excited to see them and especially Caleb didi! I actually remembered and told Papa: “Caleb pulled my hair! Pain Pain!”. He did it when I attended his 1 year old birthday! Haha..So remember; do not offend girls; young or old! LOL!

Mimi told me that she had a wonderful night catching up with Aunty Janet, Lily, Catherine and Godma Gladys. It was a good evening!

Dinner Time! Yummy! We had tomato spaghetti with chicken shreds, mushroom and prawns!

Qi with Godma Gladys! I can’t seem to be able to take my eyes off my new DORA laptop! Hehe..

Ben & Jerry Ice-cream time! I was a good girl! Sitting diligently on the bench, enjoying my strawberry cheesecake ice-cream cone!

See evidence of Caleb's doing in February this year!

Opps! Caught red-handed! I finally had my revenge! Hehe...
I pulled Caleb’s hair! LOL! I had only gently touched his hair. :P

Cute Caleb boy!

Caleb was busy roaming around the house. One of his “first tasks” was taking the balls from the tent in the room and brought it to the living room. The other classic task was going around the house literally covering all the rooms, living room and kitchen, with Mickey Mouse in the baby stroller! He was a busy boy!

Caleb excited with the balloons!

More Birthday Presents! :)

I received more birthday gifts! Yeah!

Many thanks to Xuan Jie, Aunty Catherine, Godma Gladys, Aunty Janet and Lily and Aunty Caiyun! :)

Two more presents from Xuan jie! Hello Kitty pajamas and “2D Mickey Mouse” puzzle!

My favourite Dora DVD from Aunty Catherine!

New DORA laptop from Gladys Godma! I was busy playing the night I received it and refused to go to sleep!

More Dora loot from Aunty Janet and Lily! A nice Dora sling bag and a new DORA waterbottle! I can wear it wherever I go now! Not forgetting two very pretty hair clips from kid’s specialty shop; Bloom B! Mimi likes it a lot!

Do you agree with me that the clips are really sweet?
