Qi, Mickey & Minnie!

Yeah… I managed to catch a snap with Mickey and Minnie at Vivo City! Look at how happy I was!

Today is the last day of the 2009. On behalf of the Ang Family, we wish everyone and your loved ones be blessed with good health and happiness for the new year ahead. Happy New Year!

Papa told me that he will not "lend" my blog to pen his "long thoughts" at year-end like the prior years. He will keep it really short. He has a simple wish; the same thing, good health and happiness for everyone. Both of which, you cannot buy it with money. Love your family, your loved ones and friends.

Mickey is Hungry!

Mimi bought me a mini baby stroller for me from Toy ‘R” Us because she noticed that I had a great time pushing it around the store. Hehe..

Mickey, drink your milk… Be a good boy!

Can you hold the the bottle yourself? You are a big boy!

We are ready to go shopping now!

My Christmas Presents!

Wow… I was so excited checking out my Christmas presents!

Thanks to Papa, Mimi, Auntie Cat,“Grandma Emily (Mimi’s godma)” and Auntie Jasmine for the wonderful gifts!

Wow..I like this “PlayDoh set” from Mimi!

Beautiful Christmas tree @ "Grandma Emily’s" house! It costs more than $1K.

Sentosa Staycation!

Papa brought us “out of the Singapore Island” to Sentosa. Chey! Papa, it is still Singapore mah! It was too late to make overseas holiday plan. Hence, we had a “staycation” at Rasa Sentosa Hotel in the second week of December. We drove all the way into Sentosa with our “barang barang”.

Waiting for Papa to drive the car! I was all geared up with my float, ball, pail and spades for my beach and pool fun!

Finally, we reached the hotel, Rasa Sentosa! Getting the check-in procedures done… Wow…nice Christmas tree!
We were very happy because we managed to get a room on the high floor with a very nice seaview and view over the Siliso Beach. Pictures paint a thousand words. Do you agree with me?

Papa and Qi enjoying the sea view in the balcony!

Raring to go to the beach with the inviting sun shine!

It was pool time! I had so a great time that Papa had to literally “pull and carry me out of the pool” because I simply refuse to get out of the pool! I had so much fun at the beach and pool! One of the first things that I woke up the next day was to tell Mimi: “Let’s go to the beach! Swim!”. :P

Fun @Pool!

Qi @ "swimming" (or crawling?)!

Our first Stop of the Evening; Song of the Sea! A short clip of one of the highlights of the show! We like the fire works at the end of the show too!

We went to the Tiger Sky Tower. Nice night view from the top; it goes up all the way which is above 50 storeys high! A short clip of view from the top!

While I was still lazing on the bed, Papa and Mimi woke up early to catch the sunrise together. Wow… romantic huh.. :P

Sunrise…

Yummy yummy..breakfast time. The hotel stay came with complimentary international breakfast buffet. Papa and Mimi were so full after breakfast!

Images of Singapore!

Merlion! Papa and Mimi felt that it was really disappointing. The Merlion building has “nothing to see” and view from both the “Merlion’s head and mouth” were not good. It was a waste of our time and tickets.

Highlight of the Sentosa get-a-way! The Skyride! It was frightening! We decided to walk down the hill after the uphill ride, though we bought the two-way tickets! Picture tells it all! We were actually very frightened though we looked like we were happily similing.

Taking a stroll back to the hotel after a tiring day.

Snooker game and fun @ toddlers’ playroom in the hotel before we made our way home in the evening! :)

My First Kiddy Meal!

Papa got me a “kiddy meal” because he said I am a big girl now! Hehe..

Wow..it’s a aeroplane! It has my favourite chicken, shrimps and a small egg.

Let’s me try the food! Yummy yummy…

Mimi shouted: “Qi, can you focus on eating and stop watching your Dora on your PSP?" If not, I will switch off the PSP!

Festival Mood@ T3 Aiport

We were at Terminal 3 at Changi Airport for dinner last week. Wow.. this is a "big musical ball" for the festival season of the year. It is opening up... Wa..
A short clip of the muscial ball @action. :)

I was so excited when I saw the playground. Papa.. What's this? Binocular? Ah Ma & Qi! I was busy checking out the binocular.. :P Gong Gong was busy chasing after me at the playground.. :P

Ah Gong's Birthday!

It was Gong Gong birthday yesterday! We bought a cake for Gong Gong because we were too full after the dinner last weekend. Happy Birthday Gong Gong! Wishing you good health and happiness!

Ah Gong, Ah Ma and Qi!

Qi helping to blow the candle!

Qi trying to help Ah Gong to cut the cake! Or rather I made a mess! :P

Nice Steamboat Dinner

We had a nice sumptuous steamboat buffet at Crystal Jade last weekend to celebrate Ah Gnng's 57th birthday. According to Papa and Mimi, it had a nice spread and one will not "feel thirsty" after dinner. It is unlike most other steamboat where large amount of MSG is used. The service was also good. All of us including Ah Gong, Ah Ma, Gugu, Gu-chang and shushu felt satisified and definitely very full after the dinner.

Taking a snap with Ah Gong after dinner.

I am a good girl. I ate a lot for dinner all by myself while Papa and Mimi were busy enjoying their food. :P

Mickey Mouse Show!

Yeah! We caught the Mickey Mouse show at Vivo City last weekend. We had wanted to redeem the “photo session” with our purchase but it was all fully redeemed. Sob sob… It’s okie, we can still watch Micke, Minnie and company in action.

Happy Qi! I managed to get a good “spot”, standing “high up” to watch the show.

Engrossed in the show!

Mickey, Minnie & company happily dancing!

A group snap!

A short video clip! The show was nice albeit a bit too short at about 5 minutes.

I am a 27 Months Old Toddler Now!

Yeah! My growing up story @ 27 months old!

I am definitely more expressive in recent months, expressing my likes and dislikes. :P At times, I will throw tantrums in an attempt to try to get things that I want. However, I will squeak like a mouse whenever I see Papa brings out “Mr. Cane” if I “hit” the limit of his tolerance level.

I am able to speak more two-three words sentence in my conversations. Papa and Mimi are trying to work on my Mandarin because I seem to only speak English (though I understand Mandarin). They are trying to use more Mandarin with me in daily conversation to build up my vocabulary and pronunciation.

One of my favourite activities in recent months is playing with puzzle. Can you remember that we bought some small puzzles (or rather small cards that you have to put them together) a few months back and the puzzles that I received for my presents? I enjoy playing with it and could recognize most of the pictures (still need some help for the words). Every night, I will pull Papa or Mimi by the hand to my room, choose my puzzle and request Papa or Mimi to sit with me to play the puzzle. I like to “piece” the together and put them aside.

My new collection of more puzzles and books over the last weekend at Popular Bookstore @ Bras Basah. Papa and Mimi had intentionally included more Chinese materials in the purchase.

I also enjoy “colouring” in recent weeks. I will get very excited whenever Mimi pass me sheets of cartoon characters like Dora, Mickey Mouse etc. I will pick up my box of crayons and start colouring. Hehe…

Few of my master pieces… Available for sale! :P

Papa has signed up for me to attend Speech and Drama class at Lorna Whinston Speech & Drama School at Novena Square from next year Jan’10 onwards. It will be a 1hour class every Saturday afternoon. The program includes a wealth of oral activities using drama, phonics, enacted stories, rhymes and songs to deliver meaningful and interactive experiences for young toddlers like me. I am looking forward to it. Papa and Mimi hope that the program will help me to be more vocal, expressive and outgoing, building my “people skills”.

I am 75% potty-trained now. Mimi tried to potty train me after I was about 1.5 years old shortly with no success. I was put on the regime about 1 month ago again. I am a good girl; I will shout for “shi shi” whenever I need to wee. Even when I am on diaper before sleep, I will request to use the potty if I have not fall asleep. Of course, there was small “accidents” when I wee on my pants. Hehe…Papa, Mimi and Ah Ma have to constantly remind me; “Qi, do you want to shi-shi?” initially. Even now, they will remind me if they notice that I have not wee for an extended period. I will also need still to work on my “poo poo instinct” and tell Papa and Mimi whenever I need “poo poo”.

I am still on diaper during sleep and when I am out of the house. Mimi told me that she will help me to use the toilet with the “toddler seat” in about 1-2months time so that I could be “diaper-free” when I am out of the house. Just a joke, Mimi complained to Papa that I prefer to use the $5 traditional potty rather than the $35 potty that she have bought.
